Danny Tomas is the founder, co-owner and manager of arborist services at Sustainable Tree Care. Native to the Tampa Bay area, he grew up in St. Petersburg and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville.
He began his career in Arboriculture over 10 years ago and is absolutely passionate about maintaining the beauty of the native Florida environment. Danny became a certified arborist in 2007. A member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) for more than 5 years, he is fanatical about safety and education. Active membership in the ISA includes participation in tree conferences and specialized training in aerial rescue, directional felling, restoration pruning, climbing and rigging, and chainsaw safety.
Danny has spent the last 5 years repairing and removing trees across the Gulf Coast, and as far north as Kentucky and Illinois. Special areas of expertise are pruning to recognized standards, insect and disease identification and control, limited access and low impact tree removal, root zone treatments and cabling and bracing. When Danny’s teams work on your projects, not only is the work completed to a higher standard, but you will also have learned a lot about the ‘how and why’ of good tree care practices, which is a real delight!
